'Enjoying and Declaring the Wonders of God's Grace in Christ Together''

One of the best ways to connect at Christ Community West is to get involved in one of our Gospel Communities. These are the smaller communities within the whole of Christ Community that are committed to Jesus and to each other. These truly are the hub of life and ministry at Christ Community.

Why ‘Gospel Communities?’

'Gospel' because we desire these communities to exist for the gospel, in mission, and be shaped by the gospel in our life together. 'Communities' because we desire them to be genuine communities in which people are sharing their lives with one another, not just attending a meeting.

What’s their purpose?

Our gospel communities exist to fulfil our Church’s purpose of 'enjoying and declaring the wonders of God’s grace in Christ'.

In particular they will:

  1. ENJOY Christ together by being a community that is devoted to Jesus and one another and pursues maturity in Christ together.
  2. DECLARE the wonders of God's grace in Christ by engaging our local community in gospel proclamation and authenticate this gospel with deeds of  love and service.

When do they Meet?

Our gospel communities are far more than just a meeting so in one sense they meet constantly as we share life and ministry with another. They do however also meet weekly at different times in the week. Most of our GC’s have a meal together and are a great time to connect, enjoy Christ and one another. It’s also a safe place for unbelievers to come and explore Jesus.
